23rd April 2011 Hiking - Walking: Le Bettex nr Les Menuires Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: After the most wonderful mornings skiing we head down the valley for the first place we can park by the River ??? and end up in a little place called Le Bottex just below Les Menuires by the Bottex lift, now all closed as no snow this low. After tea and cake right by the river we set off walking upstream along the lovelly fast flowing rocky stream, me armed with my camera, tripod and my new £90 B & W 10 stop ND Filter hoping to catch some blurry water shots ! We are gone nearly two hours walking along the river to the Rocher Noir lift at Les Menuires before crossing the river and heading back. We stop at lots of places on the river, I take several pics and Mag sees loads of spring flowers which is amazing considering the snow has only just gone !!! We then move the van just below the village again right by the river for the night, have tea late I do my diary entry –sadly still no internet connection :( and then read till bedtime.
